Social Security Disability
Attorney Salina L. Choice graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cooley Law School and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Salina’s experience includes judicial clerkships, civil litigation, healthcare subrogation, and legal aid services.
"I am a person who desires to help those in need. Disability Law is a daily “love at first sight” experience, and allows me to be both an advocate and genuinely help those in need."
She has also handled Social Security disability claims around the nation. At Disability Attorneys of Michigan, Salina strictly represents disabled individuals before the Social Security Administration, beginning at the initial application level.
Her volunteer work is just as dynamic and admirable with experience judging Michigan High School mock trial program (leading Michigan’s top two teams in 2016) to charitable work with Loaves and Fishes as well as Kids’ Food Basket.
Salina spent two years connecting at-risk high school students with local attorneys as part of the Grand Rapids Bar 3R’s program (Right, Realities, and Responsibilities). Her psychology background, and passion to help the most vulnerable populations, strengthens her advocacy skills as she has seen firsthand the many problems plaguing people with mental impairments.
Ms. Choice is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court of the Western District. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Women Lawyers Association. In her free time, Salina enjoys traveling around the world, visiting family at her hometown in Las Vegas, Nevada, and frequent trips to Starbucks to recharge.
