If your disability benefits were denied, you can begin the appeal process within 60 days of receiving the denial letter from the SSA.
The claimant can file a request for a hearing in front of an administrative law judge (ALJ) to present testimony and medical evidence.
If the claim is still denied, the claimant can file an appeal to the Appeals Council, who will reconsider any additional evidence.
