COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP ESSAY PROGRAM

Scholarship Description

To enter the essay program, write a 750-word essay on either, “Adversity and Life Changes” or “Powerful Life Experiences That Have Changed Your Life.” This Essay Program is available to prospective or current undergraduate students who are attending an accredited college or university anywhere in the United States.

Please email submissions to DAMichiganScholarship17@gmail.com no later than May 15, 2018. Please be sure to title the subject line “Disability Attorneys of Michigan College Scholarship Essay Program.”

 Essay Topics

  1. “Adversity and Life Changes”

Essay Question: Have you ever been affected by adversity or significant challenges in your life that you deal with on a daily basis or that you have overcome? What advice would you give to someone who might be experiencing adversity or significant life challenges?

  1. “Powerful Life Experiences That have Changed Your Life”

Essay Question: Have you ever encountered a significant situation in your life that                 has caused you to change your outlook and/or behavior resulting in a personal life change? How has that caused you to help yourself and/or educate others?

Submission Rules

To be eligible, send your letter to DAMichiganScholarship17@gmail.com by 5/15/2018 and include the following information in the body of your email:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Current School
  • Academic Standing as of Spring ‘17 (Freshman, Sophomore, etc.)
  • College or University Attended
  • Major (if applicable).

Essay Format

Send only Microsoft Word document entries, with the file name “FirstName_LastName_MMDDYY”. Only entries submitted in this format will be considered. Essays must be 750 words, typed, double-spaced, and use standard margins.

Essay Deadline

  • May 15, 2018

Number Of Awards

  • 1 annually

Scholarship Amount
